Does the government expenditure on education and family income boost educational expansion? Lesson from panel FMOLS

One of the problems education development in Indonesia is slow distribution education, especially regions. Understanding relationship between government spending on and family income helps improve equity region formulate appropriate policies. The study examines effects expenditure income, poverty, control variables primary, junior, senior secondary net enrollment ratio means years schooling. This utilized data from regencies/municipalities Banten Province over period 2000 to 2019. panel FMOLS model found that contributed significantly increasing expansion as measured by rate high schools mean schooling for all models. Poverty only affected junior school, long term. However, findings impact educational are ambiguous. Furthermore, it depended method utilized. research contributes providing local policy input services through reducing opportunities school-age population obtain equal services.
